PollenCast Winter 2024

The winter season in the Heart of Texas sees the unopposed pollination of mountain cedar (Juniperus ashei), which we Central Texans have coined “cedar fever.” Sinus congestion, sneezing, wheezing, and even tomato intolerance can occur with cedar sensitivity! Alongside mountain cedar, there’s a rise in a smattering of outdoor mold spores that love floating around on windy winter days. What often goes unnoticed is increased exposure to indoor allergens like dust mites or cat and dog dander as we spend more time indoors during the cooler months.

See what people have to say about AllergyWaco

They continue to impress me. I was away from clinic for a few months and I struggled with shortness of breath while trying to work in my yard. One day I had a bad asthma attack and asked the clinic would they see me immediately. That day they took care of me and 3 days later I was able to mow my backyard without short of breath. I should have know better because these same people has kept my allergies under control for many years. I’m just speechless and in Awe at what they do. To the entire staff especially Dr.Daftary and Mrs. Muenster, Thank you so much!

Patient of Allergy & Asthma Care of Waco

Today my husband and I both had appointments with Dr. Fowler. It was the best experience I’ve had with a doctor. He was thorough, we didn’t have to wait long, the whole staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Fowler is extremely knowledgeable. We drove in from out of town because my previous experience was so horrible. I have asthma and allergies. I highly recommend this doctors office and Dr. Fowler.
